Why is it that people hesitate to take anxiety attack medicine? This is especially perplexing since they do not have any problems taking anitbiotics, panadol or over the counter drugs for other illness.

But when it comes to taking medicines prescribed for anxiety depression, people seem to hesitate.

Why is anxiety attack medicine so horrifying that people do not want to take it? There is really no reason to not take it.

The main thing to understand is that anxiety medicine does not cure the illness. However, the medication does indeed helps a lot and there are more steps to it.

Do note that medicines do react when taken together with other drugs. They can become addictive if you take them on a long term basis.

Speak up with your doctor so that they can describes the details to you.

Some people will not need to take any anxiety medicine to get well.

The problem is many times rooted into something deeper that require some work to digg… To get to the root of the problem, the doctor and the patient need to work closely together.

Always ask alot of questions. This is especially on the topic of side effects.

Make sure that you are aware if there are any foods or drinks that a person should stop eating or drinking when taking the prescribed medication.

Always ask the doctor about any changes of medicine or how the new anxiety medicine will react to the body.

If the medicine is for long term basis, then you should know how long.

Some will be taking for the rest of their lives while some will be for a few months.

A question to as is what if the medicine is stopped. Any impact?

Of course there are several more questions and above are just some samples.

Write those questions down and bring it with to the doctor the next time.

This is not about doing the right thing; it is about being part of the healing process.

Understanding everything can make it easier to cope when the feelings of anxiety depression next creep in.
